Crosstown Baptist Church
801 3rd Street Silvis, IL 61282
When should I come?
Most of our guests visit for the first time at our Sunday morning worship service, which is at 10:30 AM. But you are welcome at all of our weekly gatherings, including our Bible classes at 9:15 AM on Sundays, our Sunday evening Study and Praise at 6:00 PM, and our Prayer Focus at 7:00 PM every Wednesday.
What is your worship service like?
We sing several songs together as a congregation, we follow along as someone prays and reads from the Bible, and we listen as our pastor preaches, explaining how the truths in the Bible affect our lives today.
What should I wear?
We do not have a dress code, and we have many people who dress casual and many who dress up.
Do I have to put money in an offering plate?
Absolutely not! The ministries and employees of the church are supported by the donations of the members of the church. We pass an offering plate every service for our members, but we encourage any visitors to simply pass it on.
What about my kids?
During our Sunday School and Adult Bible Class hour, we currently have children’s classes available through junior high ages. During our Sunday morning worship service we offer a nursery for babies and toddlers, and we have a children’s church program for kids age three up through 3rd grade. Babies and children of any age are always welcome to stay with their parents in our services.
Do you have an accessible entrance?
We have a wheelchair ramp on the south side of our building that opens into the foyer and sanctuary level.
